Creative ledarskap och demokrati

For the last 6 years, KIM has managed the Swedish-Ukrainian project Creative Leadership for Youth, 2011-2017, joint project supported by Swedish School Sports Federation and funded by Forum Syd/SIDA. KIM has been responsible for all parts of the project from budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, coordination, organisation of workshops, communication with media to partnership building with local organisations. The significant programme period has allowed us to work with over 1000 students at 23 schools across Ukraine. The programme has deepened our expertise in creative leadership and democracy building and has given the opportunity to make a difference to the young generation in Ukraine.

The above-mentioned project Creative Leadership for Youth in Ukraine has played an important role in the development of cooperation between a number of NGOs and schools in Ukraine. By encouraging the NGOs to get involved at different stages of the programme children were given access to new communication channels and mentoring opportunities. This incentive played an important part of our vision to strengthen mutual accountability and engagement with for global issues, i.e. citizens' commitment to working for human rights, improvement of democratic processes, and social progress worldwide.
